One serendipitous day, several years ago, our two paths crossed at the perfect intersection while we were both navigating the healing of childhood and adult traumas. Together, we forged a new beautiful road of growth, and discovered firsthand that the body truly “keeps the score,” even after years of “talking” through the pain.
We had tried other modalities of healing, but when we experienced the profound power of Somatic Breathwork, it didn’t just offer healing—it literally changed our lives. Using just the breath, we were able to safely unpack stored stress and clear the "boxes" that had long cluttered our proverbial attics—boxes we didn't realize had been keeping us stuck in self-sabotaging behaviors and fight-or-flight.
Recognizing this as our calling, we shifted our life's direction, became certified in Trauma-Informed Somatic Breathwork, and built SomaYama® BREATH. It is now our mission to provide a safe, heart-centered sanctuary for others to move past their blocks, release survival mode, and deeply heal. SomaYama is more than just a business to us; it is truly an extension of our hearts.
